KCG Architects remembers Christine Borland / by Joseph David

This past December, we lost our friend and colleague Christine Borland following a brave and inspirational fight with a long term illness. Christine was a graduate of Roger Williams University and she joined KCG Architects in 2015. During her time with us, her contributions were invaluable across a wide variety of projects. She worked closely with NYC Landmarks to help get design approval for the historic facade at 246 Fifth Avenue, worked hard on details on the SETC South Florida drawings, assumed a leadership role on the successful Bistro and Xperience projects, and joined with our entire office in the design and construction team effort with our 2017 entry for Fashion Meets Finishes. Our office is one that is defined by teamwork and collaboration, and Christine’s skills and personality were a great fit and a real asset to everyone fortunate enough to have known and worked with her. We miss her strength, her humor and her boundless optimism, and take some consolation in remembering how the example of her life can be a continuing inspiration for our work and for our lives.
